YS Avinash Reddy in Parliament: Kadapa’s Loudest Voice in New Delhi

Parliament is a long distance from Kadapa. For many MPs, that distance becomes permanent they move to Delhi, enjoy the perks, and the constituency becomes a memory they revisit at election time.

YS Avinash Reddy chose a different path.

As the Member of Parliament from YSR Kadapa, Avinash has treated the Parliament floor as an extension of his constituency work. Every demand notice he raises, every zero hour mention he makes, every question he tables it carries the weight of a real problem from a real district back home.

Kadapa faces challenges that need central government attention. The Brahmamsagar project a critical irrigation initiative for the farmers of the district needed parliamentary push to move forward. Avinash raised it. The Kadapa Steel Plant, long promised and long delayed, is something Avinash has repeatedly highlighted in Parliament, pressing for a timeline that the people of the district deserve.

Railway connectivity between interior mandals and the district headquarters is poor. Roads under National Highway Authority of India have faced delays. Central funds for SC and ST welfare schemes have not always reached the intended beneficiaries at the speed they should. On each of these issues, Avinash has spoken not once, but repeatedly.

What makes a good parliamentarian is not the number of speeches. It is the quality of follow-up. Avinash has cultivated relationships within ministries, ensured files don’t gather dust, and pushed for timelines that hold.

The people of Kadapa did not send an MP to Delhi to go silent. They sent someone to fight for them. YS Avinash Reddy has done exactly that filing questions, raising debates, and making sure YSR Kadapa is never forgotten in the corridors of power.

That is the job. And he is doing it.
