On the morning of November 19, 2025, the 24-year-old younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was deported from the United States and handed over to a waiting NIA team at Delhi airport. Within hours, he was produced before Patiala House Court amid unprecedented security.
A Trail That Began with a Fake Passport
Anmol’s journey into the shadows started in 2021 when he quietly slipped out of India using forged documents. From Punjab, he crossed into Nepal, moved to Dubai, spent time in Kenya, and finally landed in California. His last public appearance was in April 2023 at a community event in Bakersfield – smiling, carefree, and seemingly untouchable. That chapter ended earlier this year when US authorities arrested him, setting in motion a deportation process that involved close coordination between FBI, NIA, and Indian diplomatic channels.
The Cases That Made Him India’s Most Wanted
Anmol Bishnoi is not just “Lawrence’s brother”. He is accused of being the overseas brain behind some of the most audacious crimes in recent Indian history:
- Orchestrating the daylight murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique in October 2024
- Masterminding the brutal killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in May 2022
- Claiming responsibility for the firing outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence in March 2024
- Running extortion rackets and issuing threats from abroad
At least 18 FIRs across Punjab, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Rajasthan name him as key conspirator.
Two Voices, One Day

Baba Siddique’s son Zeeshan, who had registered as a victim in the United States to stay updated, told the media: “We were informed on November 18 that the offender has been removed from US soil. Now Mumbai Police must interrogate him thoroughly to uncover the real motive behind my father’s murder and the attack on Salman Khan.”
At the same time, Anmol’s cousin Ramesh Bishnoi made an emotional appeal: “Our family respects the law. But Anmol is being punished only because his surname is Bishnoi. We demand that the government ensure his safety in custody.”
What Happens Next
The NIA has already begun grilling Anmol on financial trails, communication logs, and the overseas funding of the Lawrence syndicate. Sources say the agency is particularly interested in his links with Canada-based operatives and the money that kept the gang running from abroad. Mumbai Police and Punjab Police are expected to seek transit remand for their respective cases.
