Education is an equalizer. A child who studies can move forward — whether they are the child of a poor farmer in Kadapa. YS Avinash Reddy firmly believes in this thought.
Avinash kept a special focus on education in Kadapa district. School buildings were renovated through MPLAD funds, computers and smart boards were purchased, furniture arrived in classrooms.
On his initiative, merit scholarship programmes ran in Kadapa — poor but talented students received financial support. Avinash recognized first-generation learners who would go on to become engineers, doctors, and government officers.
Land and funding for vocational training centers — Avinash ensured that not just academic education but skill development happens too. ITI quality improvement, support for polytechnics — direction for technical education.
When YSRCP’s government was in power, Avinash ensured local implementation of the state’s education policies — Kadapa’s schools remained on the priority list in Nadu-Nedu.
An educated Kadapa is an empowered Kadapa. And Avinash consistently worked towards this vision.
